The Grind
So I got a job today, well, another job. So I have to quit the job I’m at now (great place to work, nice folks, undemanding work, but the work itself is boring and not-so-techie).
I start the new job in a month, so now I have to look for a place to live in Northern VA, then move from Boston -> NoVA. That should be fun. Hopefully I’ll find a good place, looking somewhere in Alexandria or Arlington.
New job + new home + new state…New chapter in life? Hope it isn’t the start of the Grind, you know, the last chapter which starts the Rest of Your Life (40 hrs/week + wife + 2.4 kids + mini-van + rest of your life).
I’d rather be starting the Dream Sequence chapter. You know, sex + drugs + rock and/or roll + monkey butlers + hunting people for sport. Live like a king…or a rich pauper.
