Question Authority

I’m still a little annoyed by all the “security” measures that are being taken everywhere. I realize they are justified, to an extent, but our privacy is slowly melting away.

I recently asked how much we should trust the authorities. I can’t answer that question for you, but I can give you a quick fact or two that will hopefully make some of you synapses light up. Now I just want to add that I’m not advocating anarchy or overthrowing the government, I’m just saying that we shouldn’t be blind.

Cops + Uncontrolled Access to Information = Bad
Police use a database to get personal information about anybody!
I believe the best line was : “I’m not going to be so naive as to say an officer hasn’t seen a pretty girl and run her plate,” said Carey, who also was once chief in Troy.

Who Watches the Watcher?
Are the police better than regular citizens? 6 months of probation for recording myself getting a ticket?
