Damn You Janus
Well January is here, which means back to work. I’m at work right now. It’s too early. I miss not working.
On the bright side, my apartment is squeaky clean now. My sister and mom drove up to my place on their way to D.C., bought cleaning supplies on the way and helped out (by “helped out” I mean “did all the work”) and cleaned up my kitchen, bedroom, etc etc etc.
Why were they so nice? My mom helped because she is a mom. My sister helped because she owed me a present and I didn’t want anything but cash and a clean apartment. She hates giving cash.
I’m about 7/10 (yes, thats the correct fraction, I calculated read-pages/total-pages because I’m a dork) of the way through The Onion Girl. It’s good, but not great, but I’m sure if I were a girl I would enjoy it a lot more just because the characters and story lend themselves to something a girl can relate better to. I was hoping for something more-fantasy and less-reality, and I did read an amazing book right before it (Calculating God), so it was hard for The Onion Girl to live up to that.
Back to work.
