Give Me Sight Beyond Sight
I got my eye check-up from some new optometrist today. Seems like a nice guy and acts like he knows what he’s doing, and that flies just fine with me.
It seems like my eyes have actually gotten better, weird eh? They weren’t really that bad, I’m still legal to drive without glasses (or maybe not, since I got my driver’s license picture with my glasses on, don’t really know the laws), but it doesn’t matter, I wear them all the time anyway, much much easier to read anything 5+ feet away.
So I’ve been told to take them off while reading (which I do) and to take them off when in front of a monitor (which I shall start doing now). Apparently my eyes are focusing the “wrong” way when I look at a monitor with my glasses on and over time that’s bad voodoo.
Here’s a recap:
LEFT-EYE RIGHT-EYE 1996: 1.50 1.25 1998: 1.50 1.50 2000: 1.50 1.50 2005: 1.25 1.25
I’ve got a mutant healing factor, I rule.

but you’ll still wear your groovy new glasses, no?!
Oh definitely yes. Like I said, anything 5+ feet is like looking through a jelly fish. I’m starting school again, so I definitely need the eyes, otherwise I won’t be able to tell if the people walking in hall are smiling at me or not.
They better smile, otherwise I won’t lend them cash for the vending machines.
Don’t worry, you weren’t supposed to understand the last sentence.
Consider yourself lucky. I’m around 6D in one eye and 6.5D in the other. It sucks. 20/400+ uncorrected.
