I got another letter today, this time from my apartment management. Here is how it started out, and I quote…
Happy Anniversary!

Therefore, effective February 1, 2006 your rent, which is currently $x.xx, will be increased $40.00 to $x.xx per month.
Who the hell sends bad news starting off with “Happy Anniversary!” (with an exclamation mark no less)?
I hate the management here, good thing I’m moving out a week before the rate increase. Curious as to why I received the letter.
