Movin On Up…Then Down
Nope, this isn’t my semi-regular “I’m feeling bummed and lonely again” post, this is ever so slightly different.
Finals week is going on and I’m being ripped apart, I’m honestly studying non-stop while taking breaks every few to curse (honest to goodness curse, not words, think more voodoo) my professors. So while I’m running on 3 hours sleep right now (10AM -> 1PM, only because I lied down and blinked), I know things will perk up later, like when I’m dead.
I pulled an all-nighter too, I haven’t done that in a couple years. By all-nighter I mean watching the sun rise, not staying up until 4AM, which I’ve done almost every other week.
That’s enough of the downer.
Good news. I found a new place to live. I checked out 2 places this weekend (I totally didn’t want to leave my apartment cause of finals, but I really needed to get finished with my apartment search). The first one was pretty cool, nice guys there, but the second one was amazing. I guess I aced the “interview” for latter one, the two guys gave me a ring today, I get to sign papers this Thursday.
I’m not looking forward to moving, but I’m really looking forward to being finished with moving. This new place has all the perks. The apartment building is only 2 years old, it’s 1 block from the Metro station, literally surrounded by tons of restaurants in walking distance, underground reserved parking, pool, fitness center, washer/dryer, terrace with a view of D.C. (Monument, Capitol Building, etc), plus two ‘young professional guys’ in their mid-20s as roommates (I surprisingly miss having roommates…sometimes). But you haven’t heard the most amazing part yet…bi-weekly maid service.
I hope she wears a french maid outfit like the chick in Clue.

maid service? I’ve never heard of that in an apartment! Where is this place you’re moving to?
