Google Me A Friend
I received a package in the mail recently from Google. Weeeeeeird. Why did they send me a package and how the hell did they get my name and address in the first place? My permanent home address no less. Well the box said “From your friends at Google” in all purdy letters, so I opened it up without a care in the world.
There was nothing in the box but a cool little zipper address book thingy with cool junk in it. No letter, no explanation, nothing to show why I was sent this. Whatever, I didn’t see any anthrax type powder and it was free junk, so I kept it. Shame I don’t need any of this cool stuff.
Here is some of what I got:
- 4 port USB hub
- Retractable USB cable
- Cordless mini IR mouse
- USB flashlight
- 128MB USB drive
- Retractable ear bud headphones/mic combo
- Batteries, keychain to hang everything, and a small velvet pocket to hold everything
Everything has a Google logo on it and looks well made and legit. Anybody know why I got this?

Hmm, I suppose they do a search on pathetic lowlifes who are in need of friends. In any case, that’s cool. Mine should be on its way.
