Loins Over IP
Life’s been pretty hectic. Got a major project at work and very major projects at school, plus the fact that I have a dentist’s appointment on Monday that I have to go home for, which I really don’t want to do, three of the four school projects are due next week and I really need the time. Damn dental hygiene.
Plus, I can’t go to any concerts which are happening these couple months because A) My friends down here are complete holes and don’t like music (especially not concerts), B) I’ve got class on weekday nights, so a lot of the concerts I can’t attend anyway.
I can’t wait to graduate and get my ass back to Boston, 9 more months baby, then a new TB shall come forth from the loins of academia.
I’ve been wanting to mess around with an Asterisk server, but I really do not have the time, even my geek life is in ruins these days. Just as well, Vonage is supposedly opening up it’s SIP credentials “at the end of 1Q 2006″, so any day now I would hope. International DID numbers baby with forwarding to a personal SIP address, that’s slick geeky stuff. I’m going to have to look into DNS settings for my domains and see how they can link to VoIP servers without breaking my DNS/MX/A settings now…hmm, that should be interesting.
I’ve wanted to setup an HTPC for a couple years now too, but I really don’t have the time or cash for that either, but that’s just as well, I’m holding off on the HTPC until I actually have my own place with a great audio/video setup. My desktop PC which I’ve mutated into a pseudo-HTPC will have to suffice for now.
