Monkey Scientists
I try and listen to new music a lot, a lot of the bands I love have been acquired through this time killing hobby. What people may not realize is that you have to sift through a lot of mediocrity before you hit a shining gem. And of course, you also come across some true diamonds-in-the-rough and a lot of roughs-in-the-more-rough (a.k.a. schiesse).
Well tonight I’m posting about two bands, they produce good music, but for me at least, they don’t hit (or pass) the line where I would be inclined to purchase their albums. Alas, I am sorry oh two bands.
Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am Thats What I’m Not
We Are Scientists - With Love And Squalor
They both sound a bit generic, with a couple good songs each at most, but music surrounded by the adequate does not make it my worth. I am going to toss them in the pile with many of my other “pretty good…but not that good” bands…Doves and Idlewild come to mind.

dude, doves is really good. i like some cities. a lot.
I agree with everything you said, except for “a lot”. That’s why they’re in the B Pile, they’re missing the “a lot”.
You’d probably enjoy Idlewild too then I would assume, check em out, they’re not bad.
