New Asia

Category: MoblogTB @ 5:04 am

Around 5am and I’m currently at a rest area in the Jersey Turnpike. For some reason there are many hot Asian girls here, real hot. Shame they’re the skanky hot and not the cute hot kind. Well…not really a shame I guess.

I’m Un-American?

Category: General, TechTB @ 6:46 pm

Well our President is slower than a glacier in the Sahara and I’ve mentioned that a few times…many times, but does that make me “Un-American”? I would assume so since that’s the only thing that even remotely comes close to me be questioned by HUAC.

Here is an email I received today:

ATTENTION!

The Bureau of Morality has identified you as A CONSUMER OF DISSIDENT MATERIAL.

This is a one time warning. Any further attempts to view, consume, or distribute un-american content will result in the loss of citizenship increments and/or the imposition of fines, penalties, or imprisonment.

You have choices. Make the RIGHT ones.

Bureau of Morality
One Nation Under God

The email looked legit. It only got a spam score of 1.0 (5.0-6.0 is usually the threshold an email has to cross to be considered as SPAM). Plus it passed an SPF check too, which spammers usually don’t pass. And the links didn’t contain any phishing data either. Worst piece of spam ever, it doesn’t even do it’s job correctly, advertising, the above link doesn’t even work.

Come to think of it, thinking the President is an idiot probably makes me more of an American, why? Almost every one out of two Americans thinks that our President is a few sticks short of a Pocky box. From Wikipedia:

A recent poll by Mirror also suggested that 48% of the Americans believe Bush to have the lowest intelligence of all post WWII Presidents.

Bureau of Morality…they should rename it to the Ministry of Love.

Credited

Just got off the phone with my mother’s credit card company. It seems as if our card (it’s a family emergency type credit card) was duplicated. The amount of fraudulent charges? ~$20,000.00 worth. This guy sure loves his electronics shopping in the NY/NJ area. Thieves…they suck.

Day With A Flower

Category: General, ReviewTB @ 6:50 pm

Hung out with Daisy today, it was fun and delicious. We got some lunch at the Sherman Cafe in Union Square. We both got some Gruyère sandwiches, which were amazing. It was the first time I had scali bread and dude…best sandwich bread ever. I also got some spinach soup which was alright, but then we also split a lemon scone which was a bit sweet but a good finish to the lunch.

After that we headed to Capone Foods (this Italian grocery shop) and Daisy got this squid ink pasta, yeah, awesome huh? I got some Hot Masala Milk Chocolate (haven’t tried it yet) and some cheese, Port Salut and …something else (little help Daisy?). Tasted the latter, it had a creamy texture, not like brie, but more cream cheese creamy, probably try that tonight sometime.

Then lastly we headed to this asian grocery store where I got a shload of ramen (good ramen, none of that Top Ramen junk), some Yakult, and the best gum in the world…Fusen.

Got tix to see Andrew Bird in May too with the Chows, that should be cool.

How Capital

Category: General, Review, TechTB @ 8:27 pm

Just got back from The Capital Grille. Went there with a few friends, which is always fun. It’s primarily a steakhouse and apparently their steaks are well done (no pun intended…OK, maybe slightly intended).

I got the calamari, parmesan truffle fries, and salmon with the two mustard sauce. Calamari was well prepared, but slightly oily but the highlights were the peppers. No complaints about the parmesan fries (well, I didn’t see or taste any truffles actually), they were perfect, and I don’t even like parmesan. The salmon entree was definitely a good choice (for a non-steak eater), but it wasn’t exceptional, plus the two-mustard sauce was barely tasted. I should start eating steak and stop complaining about a steakhouse when I don’t order one I guess.

Also, earlier in the day I got some Guitar Hero II on at a friend’s place. This game is amazing. The End. Check Please.

Mutard & Kutard

Category: General, Movies & TVTB @ 2:10 am

Hung out with the Chows tonight. The highlights…

  • Parking In Rear is still funny.
  • David Lynch was born a freak and will die a freak. I respect freaks, even though I don’t understand them some times. Isabella Rossellini is required to be naked in his movies and old ladies dancing on cars is totally hot.
  • Grasshopper has delicious vegan food (minus the thin spring rolls). I wish I had more of the soup. The place is full of thieves and gold diggers. I am the greatest price guesser in the Universe.
  • Marzipan apparently has a very similar taste to Christmas cookies in a tin box. David Hasselhoff has a nice package…of coffee.
  • Rocky IV is the greatest Rocky flick of them all. Yes Chows, all men agree, part IV and not part I.
  • I need more dire femmes.
