Nostrilitis

Category: GeneralTB @ 9:17 am

TB for some reason did not turn on the heat last night before heading to bed. TB had five hours of sleep last night. TB was freezing and now TB’s left nostril burns when he breathes. TB is an idiot.

Musick

Category: MusicTB @ 1:54 pm

I love the fact that music can affect me really easily, probably why I listen to it so often. But today is one of those days that literally every song I listen to flips a circuit in me, like changing channels on the television that is TB. Kind of annoying.

I’m going to get some chocolate at Burdick’s after work, I effing deserve it.

Vancouver Or Bust

Category: MoblogTB @ 4:10 pm

I’m going all the way with this lazy Sunday adventure, the goal? Put a dent in my couch the exact size and shape of my body. So far it looks like I’ll be victorious. I’m too lazy to even get to my PC so I’ll just write from my cell.

I’m always starving so I turn to Food Network as usual. What do I get to see? Some lady talking about a food getaway in Vancouver, Giada’s Weekend Getaways. At least now I have a short list of places to eat at when I visit Vancouver, whenever that will be, but it will be, I promise it.

The first place Giada visited was Lumiere where I NEED to get the butternut squash risotto and some sort of New Zealand-ish kiwi drink. After which I can reenact the scene from Temple of Doom on the world’s longest suspension bridge, preferably while making a fool of myself in front of others.

I was surprised to realize that I actually wanted to dine at an Indian restaurant, Vij’s. The food here wasn’t authentic Indian food and I know my food from the East. The food was how non-Indian food would be prepared if made with Indian ingredients, very enticing to the palette.

If I ever wake up for brunch then I’ll be heading to The Sandbar for some of their brown sugar covered West Coast salmon laced with soy sauce.

I really gotta stop watching Food Network when hungry.

Private Call

Category: MoblogTB @ 6:20 pm

Why the hell do people assume I’m going to pick up the phone when their number is withheld? Idiots.

keeG

I bought a new cell phone recently, it’s slightly larger than my last one, but it’s about a hundred times more feature packed. So far I’ve set up VoIP on it so I can make phone calls via the data network (thus not use any minutes, even though I literally have ~4000 rollover just sitting there) and even be able to set up multiple incoming phone numbers if needed… from anywhere in the world. Even got Skype on this thing, supposedly the voice portion works the same, still need to try that out.

Messed around with setting my outgoing caller-id via the same data route so that it sends out my landline number, just in case I want somebody to think I’m at home or don’t want them to have my cell number. Sneaky and most likely never going to be used, but I like having the geek ability to do it.

I’ll probably be taking a lot more pictures and videos, just because this thing has a 5 megapixel camera, much better than my last 2 megapixel camera (for which I still need to upload many pics to the photos section when I get unlazy). The video recording is definitely better this time around. Tossing up videos here is simple, but I’m trying to setup Qik so that all three of you can see LIVE video from my cell phone (a 5 second delay, but whatever). Now that would be amazing.

“What’re you up to right now TB?”
“Check out my blog, I’ll show you a live video feed of what I’m up to biotch!”

I almost went the Twitter route (Twitter is a Facebook-status only type website), but decided against it. Why? Well, I only have a couple friends that would actually be geeked-up enough to check Twitter to see what I’m up to (yeah, I know, I need geekier friends, alas I do try), plus Facebook updating is pretty easy and most people I know are already on there, so Twitter just seemed redundant.

One more thing, I want to get lost soon walking around the streets of Boston, I still haven’t tested out the handheld GPS functionality of this puppy, hopefully it won’t make me take right turns into walls and hookers. Well, at least not walls.

Faith

Category: CoughsTB @ 5:01 pm

He stood there, amazed at what he just heard. “Do you have faith?” he had asked him. He thought he had anticipated every response, but not this. He paused, tried to remember again why he was here, to convince himself one more time that this was what was needed. Maybe this time he wouldn’t be able to do it, maybe this time he would finally withdraw. It didn’t happen, he solidified his intent even more. Flexing his jaw muscle and furrowing his brow he hoped and prayed his fear wouldn’t be visible.

He looked over at the chair in the corner of the room and slowly walked over. One more time he checked and tightened the rope around the hands and feet. Six times already he had done just that. Everything has to be in its place. He looked up at the ceiling and then out the window. Everything has to be in its place.

“Enough!” he heard as he was bending over to check the rope once again. He knew there wouldn’t be an eighth time and he looked down at the knife he had been holding the past few hours. He had used the same knife before, never keeping count as to how many times it had touched warm blood. He briefly wished he had, but decided it was better that he didn’t know.

He stood in front of the chair, his calloused right hand gripping the blade. Their eyes met briefly and he looked away, embarrassed as to why he had spent so much time on the tightening of the rope. He took another step closer, hunched over the chair, tasted his own tear as it rolled down the cheek, and solemnly choked out, “AllahUakbar!” and then proceeded to bury the knife into his son’s throat.
