Palliteration

Pocky Sticks and Pomegranate Juice.

Best.  Dinner.  Ever.

31-Oop

$0.31 + Ice-cream Scoop = 31-Oop

Baskin Robbins has 31-cent scoops today in honor of America’s Firefighters. There’s one in Harvard Square, anybody want to get some ice-cream with me?

Food Exchange

I’m a big fan of Porter Exchange near my place, they’ve got amazing authentic Eastern food, a nice Asian market where I can pick up Pocky sticks, chocolate covered macadamia nuts (these specific ones only found in Asian markets for some reason), and some true instant ramen (read: actually tastes good unlike the Top Ramen et al. brands).

Yesterday I went over there with a couple friends, I just wanted to get outta the apartment, eat some good food, and distract the hell outta myself. It worked out kind of well, as far as distractions go anyway. I ended up getting a nice shrimp tempura rice bowl again and some shrimp shumai.

I miss the shumai, I could go for some right now.

Eastered Up The Arse

Note to self: Monday 5:30pm is too late to buy the good discounted shit when it comes to Easter candy.

False Slurpification

Went with a few friends after lunch today and grabbed us some Slurpees. The freaking machine was mislabeled and got some coconut punch Slurpee thing that looked exactly like the Coca Cola flavor, whatever though, it wasn’t that bad, wasn’t coke though alas.

Forgot to mention that they didn’t even have the 40oz cone shaped tops for the Slurpee cups either, had to ask for em… another pain at the local 7-11.

I’m going to write them a slightly stern letter and then I shall be the one with the last laugh, oh yes, comeuppance. I still need to go to Winnipeg, Manitoba (The Slurpee Capital of the World) one of these days and Slurpee it up with the locals, it’s on my list of things to do before I die… or get horribly injured… or horribly lazy.

Musick

I love the fact that music can affect me really easily, probably why I listen to it so often. But today is one of those days that literally every song I listen to flips a circuit in me, like changing channels on the television that is TB. Kind of annoying.

I’m going to get some chocolate at Burdick’s after work, I effing deserve it.

Vancouver Or Bust

I’m going all the way with this lazy Sunday adventure, the goal? Put a dent in my couch the exact size and shape of my body. So far it looks like I’ll be victorious. I’m too lazy to even get to my PC so I’ll just write from my cell.

I’m always starving so I turn to Food Network as usual. What do I get to see? Some lady talking about a food getaway in Vancouver, Giada’s Weekend Getaways. At least now I have a short list of places to eat at when I visit Vancouver, whenever that will be, but it will be, I promise it.

The first place Giada visited was Lumiere where I NEED to get the butternut squash risotto and some sort of New Zealand-ish kiwi drink. After which I can reenact the scene from Temple of Doom on the world’s longest suspension bridge, preferably while making a fool of myself in front of others.

I was surprised to realize that I actually wanted to dine at an Indian restaurant, Vij’s. The food here wasn’t authentic Indian food and I know my food from the East. The food was how non-Indian food would be prepared if made with Indian ingredients, very enticing to the palette.

If I ever wake up for brunch then I’ll be heading to The Sandbar for some of their brown sugar covered West Coast salmon laced with soy sauce.

I really gotta stop watching Food Network when hungry.
